League & Learn: Empowered Speaking for All

Have you wanted to speak at a public meeting, however you didn’t feel prepared to do so? Everyone gets nervous when they choose to speak up in public. This workshop will give you the specifics for speaking at meetings, addressing the full room not just those in front, managing time limits while preparing succinct yet effective comments and questions.

This League and Learn presentation exclusively for League members will be led by Marie Gillespie, a lifelong teacher of Voice, Communication, Theater and English. Marie has a BA Degree in Speech/Theater Education from St. Olaf College and her MFA in Acting from the University of Southern California.
